Description
The Kimun Kamuy 2 hunting knife, designed by Takaaki Nakajo, a hunter who has hunted brown bears for 50 years, features a smaller, lighter Damascus blade than its predecessor. The name "Kimun Kamuy" means "mountain god" or "brown bear" in the Ainu language. When the tip is facing down, its blade resembles the shape of a brown bear's canine tooth. The enlarged blade enhances skinning functionality and improves the knife's ability to stab in self-defense.
Purpose-built for butchering Hokkaido deer and brown bears, the blade consists of 15 layers of VG-10 core Damascus steel with a beautiful Damascus pattern that utilizes VG-10 as the core material. The handle features high-quality G-10 material that is resistant to impacts. By using G-10 as the grip material instead of wood or antlers, this knife is more durable in icy conditions and will not break when dropped on ice.
